What exactly do I agree to before veneers are made?+
The shape, shade, texture and number of teeth are settled before fabrication. These are based on your goals and the planning records.
Can I ask for a rounder or squarer tooth shape?+
Tooth outline is one of the design choices you can discuss. What suits depends on your face, your other teeth and what the examination shows.
Does the dentist or do I have the final word on shade?+
Shade is agreed between you and the dentist, using a shade guide and your goals. It is evaluated again at try-in before bonding.
Could the design change after preparation?+
Because fabrication follows the agreed design, the main choices are ideally settled while previewing, before any enamel is shaped. If doubts arise later, raise them promptly and ask what can still be adjusted.
Why might the dentist suggest fewer teeth than I wanted?+
Your visible smile, symmetry and colour transitions determine a sensible number, and each veneer comes with its own upkeep. More is not automatically better.
Will the design work if I grind my teeth?+
A design has to survive your bite. Clenching, grinding or heavy contacts can harm thin veneers, so those may be addressed first, with a night guard on the table.
How can Waverley West residents begin a design consultation?+
