How long can a filling wait?+
There’s no general timeline, since size, location and cause all differ from tooth to tooth. Ask the dentist who examined yours, or request an assessment, so the answer is about your own tooth.
Could a cavity get better without a filling?+
That’s a good question to raise with the dentist, because not every mark or early change is the same. Only an examination can say whether yours calls for a repair or for monitoring.
What’s the risk in waiting too long?+
Damage that grows may become more complex to repair. A larger problem might mean less of your natural tooth remains, and a restoration such as an onlay or crown may have to be discussed.
It was recommended elsewhere. Can you take a look?+
You’re welcome to request an assessment. Bring what you were told, and ask about transferring any recent X-rays. We’ll explain what we see and what options deserve consideration.
My tooth has started to hurt. Now what?+
Please call rather than sending the form, particularly if it seems urgent. Pain has several possible causes, and describing it on the phone helps the clinic work out what you need.
Who do Tyndall Park residents contact about a recommended filling?+
Use this page’s form or dial (204) 338-3003. Visits take place at 2358 McPhillips Street in Winnipeg, and you’ll hear back from the clinic about scheduling.
