Payments & Fees

Clear financial conversations help you make informed decisions about the timing and scope of your dental care.

Let's find a time

Request an appointment

We’ll call to confirm your appointment. For urgent care, please call us directly.

Payments & treatment fees

Clear information helps you plan with confidence.

We believe you should understand the expected fee, available payment choices and estimated patient portion before planned treatment begins.

Personal payment

We accept debit, major credit cards and e-transfer. Contact us before sending an electronic payment.

Insurance & programs

Eligible amounts may be submitted to a private plan, NIHB, Jordan’s Principle or the CDCP.

Monthly financing

Qualified patients may apply for third-party Dentalcard financing through iFinance Canada.

Treatment estimates

Know what to expect before care begins.

Fees depend on the service, treatment complexity, materials and your individual clinical needs. After an appropriate examination, our team can provide an estimate and explain which amounts may be submitted for coverage.

If the clinical situation changes or additional care becomes necessary, we will discuss material changes whenever reasonably possible before continuing.

01

Your dentist assesses your needs

Recommendations begin with an examination and the care that is clinically appropriate.

02

We prepare an estimate

The proposed services and expected fees are outlined so you can review them.

03

Coverage is considered

Available insurance or program information helps estimate the portion that may remain.

Monthly financing option

Dentalcard by iFinance Canada

For patients who prefer monthly payments, Dentalcard offers third-party financing for eligible dental treatment. Applications, approval, interest rates and repayment terms are handled directly by iFinance Canada.

Why the amount can differ from the treatment fee.

Benefit information remains an estimate until the claim is assessed. The patient or account holder is responsible for unpaid fees.

Alternate benefits
Excluded services
CDCP co-payments
How Dentalcard works

A separate agreement with the lender.

Winnipeg North Dental does not make lending decisions or set your interest rate.

1

Apply online

Complete the lender’s secure application and provide the requested financial information.

2

Review the offer

If approved, read the interest rate, payment schedule, term and total borrowing cost carefully.

3

Coordinate care

Once financing is finalized, payment can be coordinated with the clinic while you repay the lender in instalments.

Prequalification may use a soft credit check, but confirm what type of credit inquiry applies before completing each stage of an application.

Planning larger treatment

Ask for the full picture.

For crowns, dentures, implants, orthodontics, full-mouth reconstruction or other multi-stage care, request a written estimate and review the expected sequence.

  • Which fees belong to each stage?
  • When is payment expected?
  • Which services will be submitted to insurance?
  • Is preauthorization recommended or required?
  • Could laboratory or specialist fees apply?
  • What happens if the treatment plan changes?
Direct billing

Coverage does not always mean full payment.

When we submit a claim directly, the insurer or program still determines what it will reimburse. Any deductible, co-payment, fee difference, exclusion or unpaid balance remains the patient’s responsibility.

Payment questions

Answers before you decide.

If cost is a concern, tell us before treatment begins. Where clinically appropriate, your dentist may be able to discuss priorities or phased care.

Ask our team
Can I combine insurance with another payment method?+

Yes. After an insurer or program pays its eligible portion, the remaining balance can generally be paid using an accepted personal payment method or approved third-party financing.

Does a treatment estimate guarantee the final fee?+

No. An estimate reflects the treatment expected at that time. If the clinical situation changes, additional care or a different approach may be necessary. We will explain material changes whenever reasonably possible.

Does the clinic approve Dentalcard applications?+

No. iFinance Canada evaluates applications, confirms available terms and manages the financing agreement. Approval, interest, repayment and credit-reporting questions should be directed to the lender.

When should I ask about payment options?+

Ask as early as possible—ideally when reviewing your estimate. Having the conversation before treatment gives you time to understand coverage, payment timing and any financing terms.
